“Thoroughly enjoyed our holiday around New Zealand's south island in Jim and Leanne's RV. The RV was well equipped with lots of little add ons that you don't get from the industry suppliers. Having onboard WIFI and a tablet to help with the navigation was a great bonus. Jim and Leanne were always available to help with any issues that popped up. The RV was very economical using just under 11 lts/100kms of diesel. We would recommend their vans to anyone looking for the holiday of a life time. Thanks.”

“Dream Away was a perfect van for our needs - an older couple wanting independence, comfortable sleep and easy of driving. There are hundreds of similar vans for hire in the area but the details made difference for us; Jim & Leane have set the van up very thoughtfully. There was all the efficient equipment for us to cook, entertain ourselves and free-camp as needed and more than enough storage space left over. What also made the difference was Jim & Leanes pleasant and helpful nature, from picking us up from the city, to their patient and informative orientation, to doing all the background work in sourcing a new tyre when we had a puncture. We would be very happy to hire a van from Jim & Leane again. And what a place! We have to come back someday. Many thanks.”

“Great fun, the van is a few years old, but drove well and was as well equipped as it could be for a van of that size, which was ideal for 2 people. Dealing with waste water, emptying toilet etc was straight forward. Ideal for Freedom Camping, as well as on all other sites.”

“Can't recommend Jim, Leanne and their beautiful motorhome. All the creature comforts, they went above and beyond to ensure we had what we needed and were well versed on the how-to's of the van. The van is the perfect size for a family of 4. Our boys are almost fully grown adults and while we did need to shuffle around a little and the boys had to share the 2nd queen bed it really helped make the whole adventure an even better bonding time for our family. Found the van to have plenty of get up and go when needed and surprisingly efficient on fuel. Thanks Leanne and Jim for helping make our New Zealand adventure so memorable.”

It was all very clean. Jim & Leanne responded to our few calls for guidance very quickly. They collected us & returned us to the airport in a timely, stress free manner. A minor frustration was the small space between bed & toilet (drivers side) & some air in the taps repeatedly. Operating the water heating consistently was a bit of a challenge for us. Overall, we had a fantastic time & the van was really reliable.”

“For us it was our first experience ever with a camper. We chose this one (Dream Away) for its price-performance ratio for our 5 weeks holiday on the South Island. We arrived in Christchurch and first spent 2 nights at a B&B before we started the adventure. This made us good prepared for the journey. On our journey we had some issues (related to the utility battery and our inexperience), but they were solved via communication and in cooperation with the owner swiftly. We did not experience anything that needed the (included) road side assistance. Being a driver having only automatic geared cars myself, the 6-speed manual shift brought me back to my early days of driving various machinery. I kind of liked it and cannot imagine how I would be passing some of the narrow and steep curves (Banks peninsula) using an automatic geared vehicle. Although the camper had spent some time on the road already, its "equipment" was complete and kind of new. It's size was really a good choice: not too big to fit a parking space at a supermarket, not too small for the both of us. We have seen a lot of smaller campervans and really did not envy its users. Then again: I guess that their budget and age do fit that kind of vehicle more. We eagerly accepted Jim's offer to pick us up at the B&B and, at the end, bring us to the airport. Very nice and valued. It took away some of the stress we developed towards our 36 hours travel back to Netherlands.”

The air conditioning was cold, the wifi was excellent, the bed was very comfortable, the refrigerator was spacious, and the cook space worked well for making coffee and prepping meals. Jim and Leanne are excellent hosts. They are warm, friendly, and attentive. I would definitely rent from them on our next journey to the South Island. Outstanding!
